CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Organizer for the Seventh Annual Sechelt Festival of the Arts

The District of Sechelt is seeking a vibrant arts organizer to be responsible for coordination of the 2010 Sechelt Festival of the Arts from July 30th to August 2nd and on-going cultural activities for the fall.

Responsibilities will include:

• Professional coordination of art exhibition at Seaside Centre
• Organize musicians, performers, other entertainment, food, etc.
• Oversee budget, reception, volunteers, venues, displays, etc.
• Manage fund raising associated with festival
• Plan and promote community art education and cultural activities for the fall season
• Develop a community of arts volunteers and supporters

Please submit a cover letter, resume and references to Deborah Flitton, dflitton@sechelt.ca at the District of Sechelt by Friday, March 22, 2010. Remuneration to be negotiated (subject to Council approval of the District of Sechelt 2010 budget).
