Regular Council Meetings
First and Third Wednesday of each month, in the Community Meeting Room of the Sechelt Library Building (5797 Cowrie Street), at 7:00pm. A copy of the Order Paper for Council meetings is posted on this site and on the District's notice board on the Friday before the meeting date. You can view each by browsing the Calendar.

The public is welcome to attend Regular Council meetings. A question and answer period is included at the end of each meeting, to allow members of the audience to ask questions about issues discussed at the meeting.

Delegation
If members of the public wish to address Council on an issue, they may do so by making a request to appear as a delegation before Council. This request must be in writing (faxes are permitted), addressed to the Municipal Clerk, and received by the Clerk one week before the meeting date. The request should specify the subject matter the delegation wishes to address.

Your request will be acknowledged and confirmed by the Clerk. If you wish to use audio visual aids (projectors, flip charts, etc.), please advise the Clerk. If you plan to distribute printed material, please ensure it is forwarded to the Clerk in advance of the meeting for distribution to Council. If printed information is brought to the meeting for distribution, please ensure you have at least eight copies available, and that these are given to the Clerk for distribution to Council.

Delegations are heard after the adoption of the agenda (shortly after 7:30pm). Each delegations is permitted ten minutes to make its presentation. Following the presentation, Council members may ask questions of the delegates. Council receives the information presented by delegations as information, and normally does not make any decision or recommendation on delegations' issues at that meeting.

For further information, contact the Municipal Clerk.

Appointments
Appointments with the Mayor may be obtained by calling his Administrative Assistant, Connie Jordison at the District Office.
